Listening Prayer

Mark 9:7 says, “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to Him!”

The question is, “How does one listen to Jesus?”

The “How To” is a relatively simple process.

First, still yourself in a quiet, peaceful place.

Then, pray for God to place his guardian angels around you to make the space safe.

Next, consciously empty your mind of all negative thoughts.

Then, choose with your free will to invite Jesus into your thinking, as follows;

“Dear Jesus, I choose now with my free will to invite you into my mind and soul.”

Psalm 91:15, “He (she) will call upon me, and I will answer him (her).”

Now ask Jesus to bring his Truth to you.

Pray; “Dear Jesus, what Truth do you want to reveal to me right now. I am ready to receive your Truth.”

The first words, pictures, feelings, impressions or Bible verses that come into your mind are the Truth Jesus wants you to receive, because you asked Him to communicate with you.

Record what you receive.

Write down on paper now what the meaning of this message is for you. How is His Truth setting you free?

Now, incorporate this truth into your personal narrative.
